A rehearsed reading of Jon Fosse’s “Someone is going to come”.

“Someone is going to come” is a story of a man and a woman, HE and SHE.
Terrified of outside interruptions and social engagements that might question and disturb their frail relationship they move away from friends and family to ‘be alone together’.
A distant neighbour breaks their shield from the outside world, and the fear that he or someone is going to come lingers throughout the play.

Jon Fosse is a leading, award-winning playwright and, apart from Ibsen, the most played Norwegian playwright in the Western World. He has won The Ibsen Award, European prize of literature and Nordic Council’s Literature Prize, as well as being a notable contender for the Nobel Prize in Literature several years in a row. His plays are lyrical, and quiet in its language.

This is a UK premiere of “Someone is going to come”, and directed by Karoline Solbakken, an emerging Norwegian director trained at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.

The rehearsed reading will be Sunday 3rd of April at Pentameters Theatre in the heart of Hampstead, London.

Rehearsals will take place in the daytime, flexibility on days and times, starting the week commencing 15th of March.

This is a great opportunity to work with material from an award winning playwright in one of London’s leading fringe theatres with the possibility of production at a later date.
