Title: Actor/Actress Required For Humanoid Robot in Short Film

Love for a Robot (working title) is a Murdoch University second year short film. We are looking for someone to play a humanoid robot in the not-too-distant future.

The film is about Aisha, an AI humanoid that is designed for the home care of an elderly patient. Although Aisha is the perfect carer, sympathetic but never getting attached, Aisha finds itself starting to want more than a robotic life, and tries to understand human feeling.

There is a big dancing component, so we are seeking someone able to dance or good at physical acting. We especially want to know if you are available for a style film shoot this Thursday, 7 April, in Landsdale, WA. The shoot will be around about 9am – 3pm. We realise this is short notice, so if you’re unavailable but still interested, let us know.

Main production shoot dates will be set in the next few days, but we are looking at May. The finished production will be seven minutes long and completed by June 6.

The work is unpaid.

AISHA, a lifelike humanoid robot

AISHA is of average height, sleight or slender build and with a ghostly complexion, however variations may be considered depending on other attributes.
The robot has many lifelike mannerisms but they are slightly off; sometimes its movements are a little too quick, or too slow.
There is a dance scene, so dancing or physical acting ability is important.
