ANNOUNCEMENT FOR (ASPIRING) ACTORS – Is this for you?
I am doing a University project called ‘Shot in 10’, which involves making a short 3 minute film in 10 or less shots, based on a particular emotion that will bring about some kind of strong reaction from the audience. The emotion/feeling my team and I are going for is Heartbreak/Sadness. The foundation of the story is a child in an operating theatre and her parents having to deal with the wait, to then find out she doesn’t make it. (Read the rest of this advertisement and if it interests you then I can go into further detail with you about the film specifics.)
I have cast the little girl and two of the surgeons already, but am in need of A MOTHER AND FATHER who are able to get emotional on camera and work closely with each other, and TWO DOCTORS that will need to be comfortable working around a child. All characters need to either be or look above the age of 23/24, and the child we have cast is white skinned so for the parents this is also a necessity. THERE IS NO DIALOGUE TO LEARN YAY!
The crew is very small but work professionally on set, and the aim of my piece is to be quite stylised in the way we film it so the set will be small but lighting heavy.
It is UNPAID work, HOWEVER we can work out ways of petrol/transport reimbursement if needed, and we will provide food and drink. This would also look fabulous on your CV!!
The shoot will most likely be from 9/10am till 6/7pm on WEDNESDAY 6TH APRIL, in Mt Albert.
If this interests you, please apply here
It will be a great experience for you and I have a great team working with me – don’t be scared off by ‘student film’ because we are training to be professionals and this is our chance to push ourselves once again into that environment.
I need to cast these roles ASAP so this is also advertised elsewhere… get in quick!
HOPE TO HEAR FROM YOU SOON!
