This is an official casting call for the first round of recreation (re-enactment) filming for the feature documentary “A Life Unexpected: The Man Behind The Miracle Mile”.

The actors selected will be playing athletes from the 1950’s, from both the UK and Australia.

As these roles do not have dialogue, and we won’t see your face clearly, we are not asking people into audition – the actors selected will be done so purely by headshot, CV and showreel.

That said, we do need people to resemble the actual people you will be playing in regards to hair colour, build and to a degree, facial features, as best as possible.

Although there is no dialogue, all actors selected will be provided with links to archive footage of the person they are representing, just to help them inhabit the character and the era we will be filming in. Also all actors will be credited with a character name (of the person they represent) in the film’s credits, which they can also use for their CV.

The actors selected may also be called back for future filming, as we’re only shooting a small segment of what’s needed on this shoot day.

The details of the shoot are:
