This is going to be a FIRST PERSON thriller movie, telling the story of the kidnap of one of the prisoner of Abu Ghraib, a prison in Iraq where American marines are accused of torturing blameless prisoners.
The movie will be shot from a first person perspective with an experimental new way of recording picture and sound. One take will be shot on set for the visuals, and a second one in a studio to capture the audio, in order to accurately reproduce whispering, screaming and so on with binaural techniques and deliver a unique cinematic experience.
The whole shoot will required 4 days of work at the end of April: 2 on location and 2 in the studio for an ADR session.
The movie will be based on true facts happened in Abu Ghraib.
The roles available are:
• 5 Arab native speaker actors – 1 main role, MALE, 25-50 years of age to play the main character – 1 support role, MALE, 25-50 years of age to play the interpreter – 1 support role, MALE, 18-50 years of age to play the second prisoner – 1 support role, FEMALE, 18-40 years of age to play the wife – 1 support role, either MALE OR FEMALE, from 18 to 25 years of age to play their child.
• 4 American native speaker actors – 2 FEMALE, 20-40 years of age to play the first set of guards – 2 MALE, 20-50 years of age to play the second set of guards
As this is a student project, these are not paid positions, but travel and food expenses will be covered.
This could be a great opportunity to improve an actor CV and top notch equipment will be used in the production.
