Title: Actress to Play a Battle Scared Single Girl in One Woman Musical

We’re looking for belt soprano with a big voice and strong acting skills to carry a hilarious and (at times) disturbing emotional journey. The story takes place on a milestone birthday so the lead needs to look either 30ish or 40ish. There’s an award winning team behind the production and there will be a staged reading to test the material and a run in 2017.

At this stage this is not a paid gig but it will include professional demo’s and show real. We planning to take the production on the fringe festival circuit.

If this sounds like you please send us a short demo (singing and acting). This can be something you’ve done or just record something to camera.

If you have any questions please ask way 😉

Woman

The character is getting ready for her date after a long time of being single. She recants to the audience about her life, love and her loss. She also renders several songs that bring out an array of emotions. So the actor will need to be comfortable with singing and dialogue to tell her story. The songs range in styles and require a strong confident voice. The dialogue has many emotional moments laced with dark humor. A challenging role that will take your abilities to new heights.

Females, aged 28 to 42 from New South Wales, Australia
