Title: Casting for Student Project for a Charity

I am a film student at the arts uni in Norwich and am casting for an advert we are creating for the charity ‘StreetBank’. The concept of the film is a stop motion animation of items in a shed coming alive and trying to escape their boring lives of disuse. The protagonist – a pair of old roller-skates – sees a child playing in the neighbouring garden through the shed window and tries to reach her/him – eventually making it out of the shed with the help of other objects, but gets stuck in the garden. The owner of the shed – a woman who has grown out of her old, eccentric, hobbies – comes across the escaped skates in the garden and decides to pass them on to the bored looking child next door. The Streetbank logo and tag line would then come onto screen, advertising their philosophy of sharing rather than buying.

Exact dates are not set yet, but we would be filming on the week beginning 4th of April in Norwich (on Wroxham Road), and the scenes which involve actors will not take up more than 2 days (Although we would need you to be available for a re-shoot day the following week of the 12th). We are able to work around actors schedules as much as we can.

As students, this is not a paid position I’m afraid, but all expenses and catering would be covered by us.

If this sounds like a project you might be interested in please contact me ASAP as we need to hold auditions before Easter.
