Title: Cinematographer Wanted for Dark Comedy/Horror Film
Duration: 5 Minutes
Coco is a dark comedy/horror film that follows schizophrenic protagonist/anti-hero Louise Cassidy. Louise has blood on her hands, she killed her ex-boyfriend in an argument rage and hid the body in her apartment.
She tries to move on by going on a date, but is completely drunk after the nights event. She becomes paranoid over her teddy bear “Coco” and decides to torture it, after hearing her ex-boyfriend’s voice. It is all revealed at the end that Coco isn’t real and is in fact her ex tied to chair, blood dripping from the wounds, and dead!
I am looking for a Director of Photography/Cinematographer to help create the visuals for this film. The inspiration I had for the story was from the Edgar Allan Poe story “The Black Cat”, so the visuals that I had in mind would have that dark, gritty feel, like a Guy Ritchie film “Snatch” (2000) and “Lock , Stock and Two Smoking Barrels” (1998) and the gothic aesthetic (for the Horror elements) of a Tim Burton film. Lastly, draft two of the script is complete, so I can send you a copy to have a read through.
We will be able to provide a small payment towards travel and will cover costs for food and drink however, this is a short 3rd year student film so the budget will be quite small. I’m planning to film in early November around the South Yorkshire region (Sheffield – for the Park Gate Flats location if available for a shoot).
