Dance Artists Day: Freelance Dance Artists

Anjali Dance Company, one of the UK’s leading dance companies for people with learning disabilities is looking to expand its team of Freelance Dance Artists as the company moves into an exciting phase of development.

Since its inception in 1995, Anjali Dance Company has created a radical new perspective for contemporary dance. Realising and celebrating the extraordinary creative potential of people with learning disabilities, Anjali Dance Company positively challenges perceptions of disability and artistic possibilities. The company has created works of excellence with some of the most renowned UK choreographers such as Clare Russ and Matthew Hawkins, Charlotte Vincent and New Art Club and is developing exciting plans for a new production and tour in early 2017.

We are looking for experienced dance leaders who have strong communication skills and who are creative, dynamic, and share our values. Being within commutable distance of Banbury is also important as we are looking for artists to deliver session work with us. If you are interested in finding out more, we invite you to attend our Dance Artist Day to meet the Artistic Director, join in a company class and deliver a short sequence to the dancers.

Please prepare a short contemporary dance sequence (no more than 2 minutes) which you will teach to the company dancers on the day.
