A director is needed for a new comedy series in development for release on the web, with the aim to be picked up for a half-hour TV show.

The series features highbrow dark humour and satire of the likes of Brass Eye, the comedy of Peter Cook, and the Clark and Dawe interviews, and the intended audience is those people who enjoy absurdism and black humour.

Three episodes have been recorded along with a handful of podcasts. A website will be launched in March 2016 featuring a weekly blog, the video clips etc We seek a director for the next four episodes, to be filmed in Melbourne in mid-February over three days. There are scripts for as further 15 episodes and these will be filmed with additional actors over 2016 and 2017.
?The successful applicant for director will:?a) Have an eye for sophisticated British-style comedy. ?b) Have experience directing for the small or big screen.
c) Be based in Sydney but able to travel to Melbourne for filming.
d) Be approachable and a strong connector with other crew members and actors

Payment is being offered for the role for the successful applicant and an ImDB credit.

Due to the female lead and the fact that the main character of Dimity is a staunch feminist, a female director is preferred for the position.
