The Feldenkrais Institute of New York has an open position for a front desk staff person.

Primary responsibilities are customer service and basic office administrative tasks. 

Duties include, but are not limited to, answering the phone, 
booking appointments, 
selling products,
greeting clients,
maintaining facilities,
ordering supplies,
labeling and mailing,
bank deposits, 
picking up laundry,
creating/maintaining excel and word docs,
communicating clearly,

Fluency in MindBody software is not a prerequisite, but will have to be acquired quickly as this is our database software platform.

This is a position that requires balance between teamwork (coordinating with and communicating with fellow front desk staff) and individual work. While there is often a supervisor available, the job requires (after initial training) being comfortable being on the “front lines” of a small, but sometimes busy organization.

Growing business that still has a small family-run business feel. Sometimes this is lovely as we are warm and flexible. Sometimes this is frustrating as some systems are still disorganized and require tolerance or crafty innovation.

Ability to multi-task is a must! Occasional moments of having to manage several clients’ needs at once. 

Prior experience with the Feldenkrais Method is a plus but not necessary.

Part time basis: 20-25 hours per week
