The premiere American independent biannual, Document Journal focuses on culture, art, and fashion, and features today’s preeminent writers and thinkers. We regularly work with contributors like Philip Glass, Grace Coddington, The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Andrew Bolton, writers Michael Cunningham, Fran Lebowitz, Hilton Als, Edmund White, and Glenn O’Brien, and designers Miuccia Prada, Raf Simons, Hedi Slimane, and much more.
Applicants should have vested interests in art, fashion, design, and/or journalism and excellent communication and writing skills, an understanding of the cultural landscape, and a willingness to learn. Ideal candidates are available to come into our NYC office at least two full weekdays a week for a two-three month commitment. Internships are unpaid, however school credit is available if needed.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assisting editors with fact-checking, proofreading, and market research; transcribing interviews; gathering contributor information; data entry; and social media execution.
