Document Journal is looking for talented, young fashion interns to join our team this upcoming summer to work with the fashion department.
The premiere American independent biannual, Document Journal focuses on culture, art, and fashion, and features today’s preeminent creatives. We regularly work with contributors like Philip Glass, Grace Coddington, The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Andrew Bolton, writers Michael Cunningham, Fran Lebowitz, Hilton Als, Edmund White, and Glenn O’Brien, and designers Miuccia Prada, Raf Simons, Hedi Slimane, and much more.
Applicants should have vested interests in art, culture, fashion, with excellent verbal and communication skills. Candidates should have a basic knowledge in Microsoft Office and Google Applications. Candidates must work well in a fast paced environment. Experience in previous fashion internships are not required but is a plus. Ideal candidates are available to come into our NYC office at least two full weekdays a week for a two-three month commitment. Internships are unpaid, however school credit is available if needed. Responsibilities are but not limited to:
– Monitoring clothing and sample trafficking
– Work directly with Fashion Assistants and Senior Fashion Editor to execute projects and tasks.
– Support Fashion Team in preparation for NYFW
– Assist in photoshoots for web and print editorials
– Maintain office space
– Administrative tasks and errands
