Dover Street Market New York is looking for an intern who can contribute to the growth of the E-SHOP business by providing excellent customer service, ensuring timely launch of new merchandise, and collaborating on new business ideas. This is an eCommerce-focused internship that will expand your knowledge of managing an online store, including exposure to customer service, merchandising, and operations.

Requirements

-Candidate must be self-motivated, highly organized, and have excellent attention to detail
-Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
-Bachelor’s Degree in business management, merchandising, or fashion management desired
-Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud is a plus

This intern program is at times very demanding but equally rewarding. We ask that our interns demonstrate good time keeping and are always polite and well-mannered. We ask that the candidate works regular office Monday to Friday 9:00am to 6:00pm with an hour lunch break.

It may be the case that during seasonal change over (mid Jan and mid July) staff are asked to work extended hours and sometimes weekends. Any interns working at these times may be asked to assist during events, installation and any out of hours activities.

Arrangements will be made for expenses of travel and lunch to be covered by DSM.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service for DSMNY E-SHOP
-Manage incoming E-SHOP and office phone calls
-Follow-up on E-SHOP inquiries via email and phone
-Process daily E-SHOP returns
-Communicate customer service trends and needs with the E-SHOP team

Coordinate with warehouse and shipping provider
-Manage ongoing shipping inquiries including following-up on customer orders, missing packages, customs inquiries, and returns
-Coordinate cancellations and order amendments

Participate in DSMNY E-SHOP product launches:
-Partner with E-SHOP team to determine needs for upcoming launches
-Create line lists for the warehouse to receive new product
-Create upload sheets for our E-SHOP platform

Partner with E-SHOP team on special projects
-Participate in seasonal change over, as needed
-Complete various assigned projects to improve the E-SHOP experience

Additional administrative needs
-Assist the office team as needed with various tasks related to DSMNY
-Receive and log incoming deliveries
