Internship: Marc Jacobs seeks Shoe Design Intern

The shoe design intern will work with the shoe designers and design assistant. The internship is paid and will begin Summer 2017.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at the time of the internship

• Must have valid US work authorization at the time of the internship

• Must be detailed-oriented and a team player

• Able to work in a fast paced environment

• A strong working knowledge with Photoshop, Illustrator

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Maintaining and archiving vintage and contemporary shoes

• Researching new materials and maintaining the materials library

• Assisting in day-to-day administrative tasks

• Assisting in meetings by handling prototypes, organizing materials, or presenting color schemes

• Working on various projects as needed by designers

• Assisting with preparations for fashion shows

From this internship, the intern will learn:

• About materials and leathers

• How the design studio operates on a daily basis

• How the design process works by actively participating in a team environment
