The House of Natori, founded in 1977, has since been turning the world of fashion inside out and has become one of the fashion industry’s most recognizable designer brands. What started as a single embroidered nightshirt shown in Josie Natori’s apartment has become four sought after labels – Josie Natori, Natori, N Natori and Josie by Natori.

The Collections reflect the designer’s distinctive East/West aesthetic, with products ranging from ready-to-wear, lingerie, loungewear and sleepwear, to home textiles and accessories, bath, fragrance and eyewear. Natori products are available in the world’s leading luxury retailers and specialty stores, including Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, and Dillard’s, among others.

As a Sales/Merchandise Intern, students will be assisting Account Executives in daily activities: helping with preparation for market such as unpacking and setting up samples in the showroom; preparation of materials (linesheets and photos) assist in working with customers including in-season selling, order maintence, sending samples. Exposure to Department Stores, Ecommerce Accounts, Boutiques, and Off-Price. Other ad hoc tasks and projects may be assigned. For merchandising you will be assisting in activities: participation in milestone meetings with design/product development. Updating seasonal assortment menus, assist in line sheets modifications, competitive analysis on pricing and assortment. Other ad hoc tasks and projects may be assigned. The internship program will hopefully enhance students existing experience and training in Fashion, allow students to work closely with industry professionals and gain new skills in a hands-on environment.

Requirements

Can do attitude a must. You should also be a team player and eager to learn.
