AD: Systems Administrator
The Shakespeare Theatre Company is seeking a Systems Administrator. This position is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure, and ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff.
The Systems Administrator’s responsibilities include but are not limited to: Windows Server installation, maintenance, support and troubleshooting; PC maintenance, troubleshooting and administration; managing an Active Directory environment; Microsoft Exchange administration; knowledge and experience with VMware virtual servers and Vsphere Client; knowledge and experience with NetAPP storage solutions, Cisco Call Manager, Unity Voicemail and Cisco Contact Center systems, Cisco routers and switches, and Symantec Backup Exec and HP Tape library. This position also provides helpdesk support to a diverse staff at multiple locations, printer and copier support, completes PC builds and imaging with Symantec Ghost, and assists the Director of IT in accomplishing short and long range projects.
The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows 7/Windows 8/Windows 10 and the Windows Server platform including: Server 2008 and Server 2012. Extensive knowledge of networking concepts preferred. Preference will be given to candidates with Microsoft certification (MCTS,MCDST,MCSA,MSCE) and Cisco Certification. Knowledge of MAC OS is a plus. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 3-5 years applicable experience is required.
