Artistic Fellowship
DESCRIPTION
As a home for leading classical artists and a training ground for the next generation of theatre artists and arts administrators, Shakespeare Theatre Company (Washington, D.C.), recipient of the 2012 Regional Theatre Tony Award, seeks early career professionals to support its 2017- 2018 season as Professional Fellows. Our fellows work alongside renowned designers, actors, artists and administrative staff in the following positions: acting, directing, artistic administration, company management, theatre management, development, graphic design, marketing/communications, education, stage management, costume crafts/design. Fellowships are 10-month long, FT commitments; all fellows receive furnished, rent-free Capitol Hill housing and $150 weekly stipend along with free tickets and invitations to special events. In addition to joining STC’s staff full-time, alumni have gone on to work and study at institutions such as Yale School of Drama, Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, American Repertory Theater, Juilliard School, Arena Stage, Playwrights Horizons and Cirque du Soleil.
