Actors Connection Kids & Teens produces seasonal Scholarship productions to recognize outstanding students in acting who show potential for a career as a performer in the entertainment industry.

There is NO fee to participate if chosen/cast. Past participants have landed representation and auditions for major NY & LA film, TV, commercial and theater productions. Participants also receive scholarships to Actors Connection’s leading Performing Arts Summer Camp and year-round program perks.

Rehearse for two weekends then perform Off-Broadway in NYC the third weekend this March 2017. Industry pros including Casting Directors and Talent Agents are invited to performances and tickets are available for family and friends.

HOW TO SUCCEED IN SCHOOL WITHOUT REALLY TRYING
ROLES: Non-union Kids & Teens of all shapes, sizes and backgrounds in elementary, middle and high school – ages 7-16 with strong comedic timing and big personalities.

ABOUT THE SHOW: A group of student agents infiltrate an assembly to demonstrate their secret tips and tricks, ranging from legally changing your name to get around roll call, to using Tom Cruise to help memorize science terms. School will never be the same in this non-stop action packed comedy.

ACTORS MUST BE AVAILABLE THE FOLLOWING DATES IN NYC:
– Audition: Saturday, January 21 by appointment
– Rehearsals: Saturdays and Sundays of March 11-12 and 18-19
– Off-Broadway Performances: Saturday & Sunday, March 25 and 26

WHAT TO PREPARE

Audition on Saturday, January 21 by appointment. TO AUDITION actors should pick and prepare a comedic monologue, funny story OR a few short jokes – no longer than one minute total – and bring a copy of your photo/resume. We want to see your personality and speaking skills shine!

FOR AN AUDITION APPOINTMENT: Please email a photo and resume to kids@actorsconnection.com. Include your child’s age, child’s name, parents name, phone number and city/state where you reside. We will email you back an audition time for the afternoon of Saturday, January 21.

(This is also posted on websites including Casting Networks and Backstage – you only need to submit ONE time via email OR using either website, whatever is best for you.)

CAN’T ATTEND THE AUDITION DATE? While we prefer to meet talent in-person, you are welcome to email the information requested above along with a video link to your performance or demo reel to kids@actorsconnection.com. Deadline for videos is 3pm EST on Saturday, January 21, 2017.
