SEEKING N/U OR AEA ACTORS OF ALL ETHNICITIES FOR THE FOLLOWING ROLES:

[GEEK] Male, 18 to 25 years old. The Brain, the Nerd. A mashup of Farmer Ted from Sixteen Candles, Brian from The Breakfast Club, Duckie from Pretty in Pink, Gary from Weird Science, Ferris from Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. Must have great comedic instincts and should be able to improvise with an audience with ease. Requires an ability to sing with humor, style, and legitimate ‘blue eyed soul’. Nerdy kid with a cool voice. ALL ETHNICITIES.

[JOCK] Male, 18 to 25 years old. The Athlete, the Prom King, the Prep. A mashup of two types, the Jock and the Rich Kid, from characters like Jake Ryan from Sixteen Candles, Andrew from The Breakfast Club, Blane from Pretty in Pink, and others. Must sing in a high, pop tenor register. He’s a natural, unassuming charmer with a voice that melts hearts. Should have an athletic build. ALL ETHNICITIES.

[BASKET CASE] Female, 18 to 25 years old. The Weirdo, the Tomboy, the Loner. A mashup of different characters on the periphery of high school’s social class. From characters like Allison from The Breakfast Club, Watts from Some Kind of Wonderful, and others. Must have enough rhythm, and enough badass style, to believably play a drummer. This character leans more toward the tough tomboy with artistic tendencies. ALL ETHNICITIES

[PRINCESS] Female, 18 to 25 years old. The Beauty, the Good Girl. A mashup of extremely likable young women who are just trying to do what right. From characters like Sam from Sixteen Candles, Claire from The Breakfast Club, Andie from Pretty in Pink, and others. Sweet and sincere but strong willed and determined to have the life she dreamed of. Requires an excellent soul/pop vocal style with big range and power. ALL ETHNICITIES.

[REBEL] Male, 18 to 25 years old, the Criminal, the Troublemaker, the AntiHero. A mashup of rebellious types – some you could bring home to family dinner and some you couldn’t bring to the mall without fear of being picked up by the cops. From characters like Bender from The Breakfast Club, Keith from Some Kind of Wonderful, and Lloyd Dobler from Say Anything. MUST PLAY THE GUITAR and possess an authentic rock and roll edge. The bad boy musician who secretly writes love songs. ALL ETHNICITIES.

[MISTER] Male, 30 to mid 40s. A collection of figures of authority. Characters like Rooney from Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and Mr. Vernon from The Breakfast Club. Must have a strong sense of comedy and an equally strong singing voice as he will serve as both comic relief and as lead singer of the band. Looking for someone who can jump between comic character actor and 80s rock star without difficulty. Improvisation with the audience, ability to go off the script with ease when necessary, and a natural, spontaneous presence on stage are all essential to the role. A contradiction of corny and cool. ALL ETHNICITIES.
