Seeking all races for all roles. Actors who sing (folk pop style (Mumford and Sons, Phillip Phillips if you will), dance, act, do an English accent, and some stage combat. All should have a sense of fun about them, all should appear to be under the age of 26. A hipster vibe ain’t a bad thing. These are the Bernie Sanders supporters.

Robin – charming, handsome, RP accent. A bit of a spoiled jerk at the beginning of the show but by the middle of the first act we should be rooting for him. Someone you can pin an evening on. Some Guitar would be great. A younger Adam Pascal/Benjamin Walker. High Bari (must have F’s)
CALLBACK SONG(S): * There’s A Hero – to letter D. Looking for Adam Pascal or Phillip Phillips sound. * Let it Ring- full page through letter C

Marian – Charming, attractive. To the manor borne. RP also, a clever girl who no matter how stylish and witty, always has a little something going on behind those eyes. Pop/legit- not a brash belter. Jesse Mueller/Patti Murrin/Kerry Butler.
CALLBACK SONG(S): *Take Me Home – all 4 pages

Alan A’Dale – Must be an excellent quitar player (must read chords, be able to do more than strum, must play like a rock star). Good comic sense. Good looking, second lead opposite Lady Anne. Working class accent. Bari.

Lady Anne – Upper class, RP, ditzy Madeline Kahn type. Plays the violin/fiddle. Soprano. Most “legit” sounding. Has a faux-opera bit.
CALLBACK SONG(S): * Narration

Begger Meg – Earthy, been through a lot, but a wry sense of humor. Good hearted. Thick Scottish accent.
CALLBACK SONG(S): * Be Robin Hood – to the bridge at letter G. Parts of this song are sung by Robin. Prep song as you would if singing a duo, holding for partner’s parts.

Sheriff of Nottingham – elegant, evil, oily. Attractive in his way. Bari.
CALLBACK SONG(S): * Let it Ring- full page through letter C.

Merry Men – we are looking for the 2017 version of these archtypes. Lil John should be largest. Will should be a fop. Much should be a younger boy, even if played by a girl. Most play two or more roles. At least one should play the guitar and if others have instrument skills (violin, guitar, accordion, ukulele), they will be used. Each one a different dialect of Britain. All should be good singers (bari or tenor), and able to sing harmony, but not stand out soloists. Character and personality more important here.
CALLBACK SONG(S): * Let it Ring- full page through letter C. * Merry Men – to letter B

-Will Scarlett – great comedian. Also plays Smote, a menacing lower class graverobber. (not like those middle class graverobbers). Bruce Ashmanskas.
CALLBACK SONG(S): * Let it Ring- full page through letter C. * Merry Men – to letter B

-Much – a teenaged boy or girl. Could be a small/boyish female. Enthusiastic. Sweet. Also plays the quirky Crank. Tenor/Alto/Soprano.

-Friar Tuck – large presence, whether muscular or full framed. also plays Huntington. If there is a young man who is differently abled, in a wheelchairlet’s say, we might look to investigate Friar Tuck for him.
