Title: Miss Universe New Zealand is back and entries are open for 2016!
All contestants must attend Stiletto Camp, which will be held May 27, 28 and 29 in Auckland. While there, you will work with a New Zealand fashion photographer, a media workshop with veteran TV producer Nigel Godfrey, a dance workout with Rina Chae (who has worked with Beyoncé and Chris Brown), a fabulous goody bag, and a lot more.
In June, 20 finalists will be announced and in July, they will travel away on retreat. The Grand Final takes place in Auckland at SKYCITY Theatre on September 3. Television cameras will follow every part of the process and as with The X Factor and New Zealand’s Got Talent, the New Zealand public will have a say in who is going to be Miss Universe New Zealand 2016.
To enter this competition you must be female, a New Zealand citizen, lived here as your permanent and primary residence, and that you intend to make New Zealand your permanent home for at least six months before the final. (You can have attended college or university elsewhere during part or all of that period.) You must be at least 18 and under 27 as of January 1, 2016 (that means your birthday is between January 2, 1989 and January 1, 1998). And, you must not have been married or have given birth to a child.
