A Tribute to Sami B.

A Dance Film: by Stephanie Bollag and Adam Ray Dyer

A Father and Daughter of Jewish heritage dance the path of life together. Starting with the burial scene of the Father, our familial love story recounts the complex dynamics of a Father and Daughter relationship by having them relive memories of marriage, life, independence, reunion and death.

This 4 – 6 minute Dance Film will use an original musical composition and performance inspired by the Traditional Jewish Burial Prayer/Hymn – Avinu Malkeinu.

As a visual and narrative storytelling technique we will follow two paths. One starting with the funeral procession and moving forward toward the grave. The other path providing contrast by moving backwards from the funeral through memories of their lives.
