Oedipus Schmoedipus features death scenes from several hundred of the greatest plays of all time, patched together then brought to life Frankenstein-style. It’s a great big festival of shuffling-off-the-mortal-coil from Australia’s silliest/smartest theatre bunch, post (us – Zoë Coombs Marr, Mish Grigor and Natalie Rose). Oedipus Schmoedipus is our bid for theatre history – either to join it, or wreck it!

After seasons at Belvoir Street (Sydney) and Arts House (Melbourne), we’re coming to Brisbane to present 2 full length showcases of Oedipus Schmoedipus as part of the Australian Performing Arts Market 2016.

BUT WE CAN’T DO IT ALONE! WE’RE ON THE HUNT FOR AMAZING BRISBANE VOLUNTEERS…

Each show features a cast of 25 volunteers and we want you, your nan, your cousins and their cousin’s work friends – absolutely everyone – to jump on board.

Yes, “volunteer” is a nice word for “unpaid”. BUT… not only will this will be lots of fun, and an insight into how this cool young company works… but you’ll be seen by hundreds of industry buyers from venues, festivals and theatre companies around Australia and the world.
