Tecniche Di Danza Moderna (Modern Dance Techniques) lunched in Roma in September 2016 is a program of study that introduces Italian dancers to the American culture of modern dance techniques. An Initiative that brings American modern dance teachers to Rome, Italy. Each months we introduce Italian students to Graham, Limón and Horton technique through weekend intensives. The faculty rotate over the course of the one-year program. A collaboration between Co-Producer and Curator Caterina Rago and former Graham company principal Kenneth George Topping, Maurizio Nardi, former Limón company members Pablo Francisco Ruvalcaba Tovar, Ryoko Kudo, and Horton technique teachers Kristina Berger, Karen Gayle and Bradley Shelver.

Tecniche Di Danza Moderna is extremely excited to have the opportunity to offer scholarships (half-tuition) for our July 2017 Summer Intensive in one of the most beautiful and artistic city in the world, Rome!

The Summer Intensive will take place from July 24th to July 30th 2017 at The Centro Danza Mimma Testa, Via S. Francesco di Sales, 14 Roma, Italy.

Guests teachers from New York City will offer a rigorous program designed specifically for dancers who wish to make rapid progress in their knowledge. The intensive will offer Graham, Limon, Horton Technique and Repertory classes and will culminate with a final showcase followed by a panel discussion held by professors and guests.

The cost of Tecniche Di Danza Moderna Summer Intensive is euro 1.250 (program tuition and accommodation) with Scholarship euro 475 (accommodation and half program tuition) and includes:

A total of 35 hours of dance weekly (Graham, Limon, Horton technique and repertory);

Final schowcase and panel discussion;

Accomodation for a total of 10 days in Roma.

The Audition will take place May 15th 2017 from 1:30pm to 3:30pm at the Mark Morris Dance Center located at 3 Lafayette Avenue, Brooklyn, New York 11217.
