This is a period piece that takes place 1918 southern Appalachia.
Synopsis: It’s the first day of Bible Training School and young Jesse Capshaw (14 years old) has made her way, via train, from North Carolina to Southeast Tennessee. She arrives late to class and must convince her teacher she deserves this opportunity, despite being the youngest in the class by three years.
