We are an up and coming theatre company, based in Kingston, with an aim of telling stories that reflect real life, relationships, personal experiences and truth. Our performance was first staged at the Arthur Cotterell theatre this year, where it was picked to be part of the IYAF festival at the Rose Theatre in Kingston. Since then we have been funded by o2 Think Big to help us tour the show; ‘The Next Placement’ which is based around living in foster care and the pressures of social work.
We are holding an Open Mic Night to raise further funds for the production and we are looking for new, up and coming artists to showcase their material at our event in Kingston, Surrey.
Our evening is based around the theme of ‘Home’. We’d like to hear work that tells stories of relationships, family, the feeling of being at ‘home’/ the feeling of having no home. We want dark and light stories, focusing around this theme.
Although we’d love to hear covers, what we’d really like to hear is your original work, so you can really share your skills and talent.
Although there is no payment for the performance due to the nature of the show, we do know how important your time and effort is. With this in mind, we will be providing you with a recorded cd of your set for your portfolio, promotion on our website/promo material, along with two free tickets to the event, plus a pair of tickets to our show next year. We will also be providing you with refreshments on the evening.
This is a great opportunity for new artists to get out there and try their work.
Auditions are being held at the Arthur Cotterell Theatre in Kingston College on Monday 24th October 2016, with the performance on Thursday 24th November 2016 at The Cricketers in Kingston. The time of your audition will be emailed to you.
We looking forward to meeting you and hearing your talents!
