Elsa is the femme fatale of the film. Elsa is the understudy to the lead actress in the play and also has a romantic history with protagonist playwright Charlie. Elsa is an ambitious young actress, beautiful and willing to do whatever it takes to make it to the top. Her ruthless ambition is disguised by a sweet and innocent façade which fools those around her. Elsa is bitter after losing both her lead part and her lover Charlie to the star of the play and she plans on taking her revenge.
