Torn is about William and his journey battling to regain his memories. He was once involved in a car crash that robbed him of his key memories. He spends his experience writing down what little bits he can remember and tries to piece things together. But to add to the already tragic situation he can’t even remember his wedding day, his wife (Elizabeth) has Alzheimer’s and is loosing her memory. She contracts pneumonia and is too weak to fight. William is thrust into the pits of his feelings and in Elizabeth’s last moment he remembers his wedding vows and recites them to her as she draw her last emotional breathes. She passes peacefully at the stroke of midnight in Williams arms on the date that is their wedding anniversary.
