A new NZ telefeature is casting two major supporting roles, one man and one woman, who are also confident horse riders.

We are looking for actors who are confident horse riders, or riders who may have no acting experience, but are interested in giving it a go.

SHOOT PERIOD: 12 Feb – 23 March 2017 in Auckland

We are happy to view applications NZ-wide but you need to be willing to relocate to Auckland for at least some portion of the shoot period.

Full role details provided below. Please apply below to be considered and ensure your profile includes up to date measurements and please indicate your level of horse-riding ability when applying.

Jimmy Cassidy

Must be short. Confident with horses. Ability to ride a definite plus.

JIMMY is a nuggetty go-getter that stops at nothing to get a win. Jimmy has a certain confidence that can come across as arrogance, but without it he wouldn’t succeed in the racing game. Jimmy has a gift and confidence is part of it. A likeable larrikin, Jimmy is not above working the odds and pushing the bounds of legality, but when push comes to shove, like most people, he’s keen to be liked and accepted.

Dianne Moseley

Must be short. Confident with horses. Ability to ride a definite plus

DIANNE is one of NZ’s top apprentices at the time when lady jockeys had only just made it onto the scene. More tomboy than lady she doesn’t give a damn about what people think – she just wants to ride! Unfortunately for Dianne, her fearlessness, although it brings her many victories, will also bring about her downfall – literally.

Females, aged 18 to 35 from New Zealand

  • Maximum Height:
    165 cm / 5ft 5in
