The Water Babies is an innovative new opera for children and adults by Freddie Hill based on the classic Charles Kingsley fairy tale, due for production in April/May 2016.
Doubling of roles may be required.
Rehearsals begin Saturday 16th January in Narellan.
The ideal candidate should have:
* Operatic/musical theatre experience at high level
* Music reading ability
* Willingness to work in varied or unfamiliar idioms
* Preparedness to commit themselves
* Adventurous nature and a sense of humour
Examples of the music will be forwarded to those interested.
All minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Principal Tenor – Principal Bass or Baritone
Some experience in opera – esp.new or unfamiliar repertoire desired.
Ability to read music essential.
Preparedness to take on dual/multiple short roles/animal costumes included
Locations for rehearsal/audition -W or SW Sydney – Blue Mountains
Current WWCC. Award rates or above for Performances/Dress rehearsals but not for time of regular work.
