About the Show: Peter believes that he’s had a long and happy marriage with Ruth. She likes to travel, he likes listening to the cricket. One afternoon while Peter is lazing in his deckchair, his wife announces that she has sold the house and is leaving him. When the new owners move in, they discover that with their new house comes a middle-aged, cricket loving squatter who refuses to move out of their garden…
The Final Test will be performed from July 29 – August 7
Please note that as we are a community theatre company, all roles are unpaid.
Audition Details: Auditions for The Final Test will be held on Sunday 3rd April at 1:00pm. Auditions will be held at Sutherland 2232.
Auditionees will be asked to read excerpts from the script. The show will be performed with Australian accents. Rehearsals are generally held on Thursday evenings and Sunday afternoons.
Ray is a ‘diamond in the rough’ – grumpy, gloomy, and a bit of a hypochondriac, but can’t quite bring himself to tell Peter to leave. He forms an unusual bond with Peter and is reluctant to deal with him.
