If you are an aficionado of sci-fi, then it is possible that you have already read “Wrinkle in Time” written by Madeleine L’Engle. But guess what, the 1963’s novel is now going to be turned into a Disney movie! So here is a great opportunity for children to be cast in lead roles in the adaptation of the classic Wrinkle in Time. The movie will be directed by Ava DuVernay. The script for the Disney movie is being written by the screenwriter of the popular movie “Frozen”, Jennifer Lee. It is rumored that the movie will begin filming this fall.

The classical novel is the first part of the series of books that revolve around O’Keefe and Thee Murray families. The story primarily focuses on an adolescent girl whose father is a government scientist but in a mysterious occurrence, he goes missing while he was working on a top secret project called “tesseract”. Thirteen-year old Meg is perceived as an obstinate and troublesome kid at school by both her classmates and her teachers. Her family, on the other hand, knows that she, too, like her dad is capable of achieving great things. Their family is comprised of her pretty scientist mom, her dad (missing), twin 10 year old brothers called Denny and Sandy and her five year old precocious brother, Charles Wallace Murray. This last kid is an absolute genius and he can also sometimes read her older sister’s mind. Meg Murray is perturbed by her father vanishing into the blue and decides to go on an adventure to find him. The book has won severable notable awards like, Sequoyah Book Award, Lewis Carol Shelf Award, and Newbery Medal.
