Casting directors need actors to work as photo-doubles on an upcoming film. More specifically, they are looking to cast 6 – 11 year old boys to play a vital role in a Julia Roberts film. As a photo-double, you will blend in with a specific character so that the main actor can take a break during certain scenes. The scene in this casting call will take place on a busy New York City street.
The movie is called Wonder and it stars Julia Roberts and 10-year-old Jacob Tremblay. Tremblay starred in the Academy Award winning movie, Room, with Brie Larson. He was nominated for the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role at the age of nine.
Wonder is about a young boy born with a facial deformity that has been in and out of the hospital for years searching for cures and remedies. The boy is played by Tremblay. His mother is played by Julia Roberts and his father is played by Owen Wilson. Together as a family they struggle with his hardship.
A photo-double is needed to portray Jacob Tremblay from afar. You will participate in a two day filming session in New York City. This is what he looks like:
This is a great opportunity to be apart of a feature film with famous actors and actresses. You will meet industry professionals that know what it takes to make it. Along with experience, you will be paid per hour for your work. Photo-doubles are greatly appreciated because they represent the main character. Being a photo-double on a featured film looks great on an acting portfolio.
