The Walking Dead rumors suggest Josh McDermitt’s character Eugene is getting killed off.

Earlier this week, it was announced that The Walking Dead’s Josh McDermitt was among the actors cast in the new Twin Peaks series coming to Showtime in 2017. Naturally, fans of The Walking Dead started discussing the possibility of AMC killing off Eugene’s character on the show.

According to Comicbook.com, The Walking Dead actors are not allowed to have recurring roles on separate TV shows but, they are allowed to make guest appearances on TV shows or film movies when they are not working on set of the Walking Dead. So, does McDermitt’s casting in Twin Peaks signify Eugene’s final days on The Walking Dead? Probably not.

The list of people cast on Twin Peaks include 217 different actors. While some roles will be larger than others, there’s no evidence from casting that indicated McDermitt will be leaving the show any time soon.

We are not ruling out the possibility of Eugene being the victim of Negan’s baseball bat. But, casting announcement do not always mean an actor is going to get killed off The Walking Dead.

The Walking Dead will return in October and Twin Peaks is set to premiere in 2017.
