‘I Tip My Hat’ is a short 3rd year student film being produced in association with University of Canberra and Holmesglen Institute. It is a psychological noir inspired by the “Twilight Zone” and “The Spoils Before Dying” television series’, and films such as “Double Indemnity”, “Shutter Island”, and “Chinatown”.

A man on the verge of suicide witnesses a murder. After being approached by the killer, his perception of life is restored.

The film does not contain a lot of dialogue, but sound design will be very important in creating atmosphere.
The majority of the shoots will take place in the late evening and early morning.
We are going to be shooting at the end of June/beginning of July in Melbourne and auditions will be held in late April.
Own equipment is not a prerequisite, but would certainly be an advantage.
