Casting Call for Kids for Amazon Studios Movie “Wonderstruck” in NYC
There is a new feature film by Amazon Studios called “Wonderstruck” that is now looking for extras. The movie stars Academy Award-winning actress Julianne Moore and Academy Award nominated actress Michelle Williams. Grant Wilfley Casting is looking for both union and non-union child to appear in the film that will be shooting in New York City.
The film will tell the story of a young boy in the Midwest and a young girl in New York simultaneously and how their lives intersect fifty years later. The movie is based on a children’s book. According to Variety, “Wonderstruck” traces the gradually weaving stories, though set 50 years apart, of two deaf children who both wish their lives had been different: Rose dreams of a mysterious actress, Ben of the father he has never known. Their stories will finally intertwine as both children set out on quests to find what they are missing: A family.
What They Are Looking For
SAG-AFTRA/ NON UNION Children ages 9-13 years:
Caucasian Boys with shaggy, longish hair (must come over ears).
African American boys with afros (small or large afros)
Caucasian Girls with any length hair but not super long. A little past the shoulders is ok
African American Girls with afros, natural hair, straight hair is ok too. Braids might be ok.
To portray 1970s Kids in the Todd Haynes movie “Wonderstruck” starring Julianne Moore & Michelle Williams.
